Ri'Nazhanae D Forrest, the vibrant young entrepreneur known as Nazhi Thee Baker, tragically lost her life. Nazhi was not just a talented baker; she was a passionate advocate for sickle cell disease (SCD).

Her journey began with a simple passion for baking. Her first peanut butter cookies were an instant hit, inspiring her to explore cheesecakes and ultimately, her signature pound cakes. At just 12 years old, Nazhi was already a budding entrepreneur, selling her delicious creations – from traditional to unique flavors like lemon zest and caramel pecan – directly from her website.

But baking was more than just a hobby for Nazhi. Driven by a desire to help others, she established the Nazhi Thee Baker Angel Foundation. Through the foundation, she used the proceeds from her cake sales and generous donations to raise awareness of SCD and provide support to other children living with the disease.

Nazhi created and delivered "TLC bags packed with tons of goodness" – care packages filled with comfort and encouragement – to children battling SCD. Her dream was to distribute these bags to every pediatric hematology department across the country.
The Nazhi Thee Baker Angel Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, continues her legacy.
Their mission is to inspire and support children and families facing sickle cell, cancer, and other chronic illnesses through care packages, hospital visits, and sweet treats.
Nazhi's story is a testament to the power of compassion and the enduring impact of a young life dedicated to making a difference. Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those affected by SCD.
